COLNAGO

ColnagoTo many road cycling purists, Ernesto Colnago is the first and last name in bicycles. The master began his company back in 1953, and honed his craft supplying race bikes to the top teams and riders of the era, including the Molteni team of the incomparable Eddy Merckx. Unrivaled by any other manufacturer, Colnagos have been ridden to victory at least once in the history of every tour, classic, and major race. Every Olympic cycling discipline, track event, and cyclocross venue has seen a Colnago rider on the top step of the podium at some time or another. Even today, the "classic" Colnago brand manages to grace magazine covers galore as racers continue to win on these very modern and cutting-edge machines.

Ernesto, who is still involved in the day-to-day operation of the mythical company that bears his name, has a continuing passion for his craft which shows in the finished, hand-painted frame. His commitment to perfection is demonstrated by the fact that in many cases your Colnago is built by the same workers who built bikes for Mapei, Rabobank and countless other celebrated former and current pro teams.

Colnago2EXTREME POWER The most innovative bike in Colnago's star-studded line-up for 2008, the Extreme Power was designed to meet the needs of ProTour riders such as sprinters Petacchi and Zabel, and hardman Freire...guys that produce, well, extreme power. To make the absolute most efficient possible machine, the Extreme Power features a conical downtube that is further reinforced with two unidirectional high modulus carbon fiber longitudinal reinforcement ribs. This practically eliminates torsional flex, with the result that the bike simply leaps when you press the pedals. The Extreme Power (as well as the Extreme C) is available in 15 frame sizes for possibly the best non-custom fit out there.

Colnago3EXTREME C The Extreme C was initially developed for riders from the professional Rabobank squad to use in the mountain stages of the Grand Tours. While extremely light weight, the frame is also designed for optimal stability, which makes it a natural choice for climbing enthusiasts. What goes up must, of course, come down, which is why secure and safe handling is just as important as feather weight for a climber's bike. The Extreme C is constructed of round carbon tubes and features new, oversized chainstays to increase stiffness for efficiency over the long haul. Both the Extreme Power and Extreme C are available in ten (count 'em - 10!) new and exciting paint designs for 2008, so you can choose the finish that completes your dream bike.

Colnago4C50 Practically a standard for the toughest one-day races like Paris-Roubaix as well as Grand Tours, the C50 has tubing and lugs of new generation high modulus unidirectional carbon fiber for extra stiffness and lighter weight. The C50's striking design has patented and eye-catching "HP" chainstays that, while increasing stiffness under force, simultaneously serve to diminish road vibration. The rear seat stays are made in 4 various thicknesses depending on the frame size to optimize performance for riders of all sizes. Speaking of sizes, the C50 comes in an incredible 20 frame sizes, to insure perfect fit for anybody.
